Each school below has a unique Device Push URL with its own API Key.
Log into the terminal (Hikvision, etc.) via its IP → Configuration → Network → Advanced → HTTP / Listening Server. Set Protocol to HTTPS, Port to 443, and paste the school's unique Device Push URL.
Put the terminal serial number(s) (e.g. GE0197578) used by teachers into Teacher Device Serials. Scans from those serials are marked as Teacher. All other terminals are recorded as Student/Parent.
Set a "late after" time for any day or group of days. Students who clock in after that time are counted as Late in today's summary.
Set each student's class and link them to a parent. New students appear here automatically the first time they clock in.
Tie each parent to one or more students. Parents themselves are added from the server, not here.
New teachers appear here automatically the first time they clock in — you can also add one manually and set their subject/department.
Configure attendance terminals to push events directly to this school's database.
In the terminal's web interface: Configuration > Network > Advanced Settings > HTTP Listening / Event Push. Ensure Protocol is HTTPS and Port is 443.
Any device with this serial number will register scans as TEACHER. All other devices pushing to this school's URL will register scans as STUDENT / PARENT.
